Dear friends of The Bedtime Story online and the art and music of Ralf Christoph Kaiser, today I remember a very beautiful and stretched moment of peace on December 25th, 2017. At the time, I was living in the house with my wife and two children, but had a lot of rest for me and Muse on this afternoon of Christmas Day. The photo of the cover shows the scene. A light-flooded room with a fir tree and me in the love hem.
When I wrote this poem, I was just happy and content. From that moment the "Quality Time" developed for me, which I now regularly maintain in the evenings. Listen to a little music with a sip of wine, after a good dinner and relax on the sofa, read a little and social media sometimes paint or write and enjoy the evening. If the week or the day were eventful, these quiet minutes with the feeling of bliss are very grateful. Like a thank you party in the chillout area. I am then satisfied with myself and the world, despite the fact that I now live alone. As long as there is a feeling of being “connected” with other people and being “loved”, it is also nice to be alone. If there were several good conversations during the day and encounters with loved ones, then the evening alone at home is still nice.
Truly enjoyable moments that give the soul nourishment are then wonderfully possible on their own. It is getting dark, everything is peaceful, many are already going to bed and I enjoy nightly hours with myself in happiness.
Sometimes I wonder why there is so much grappling with the more critical moods the day before. I can remember times in my life when it was completely foreign to me for years. It was like dancing the endless dance among elves and fairies every day. Now, on the other hand, there are big peaks during the day that require a lot of perseverance and sophistication in dealing with me and the world. It requires ingenuity and a lot of self-motivation. Thank God it helps to reward yourself from time to time. At the bakery, in addition to the bread, a piece of cake for the coffee and the newspaper. Or when cooking fresh herbs from the balcony, harvested with dignity and pride.
I now sincerely hope that as soon as possible we can return to the highest possible normalcy in Corona and that for the vast majority the worst escalation can be prevented by emergency aid from the state.
Sometimes moving music is soothing, because it is the music that takes over.
So it happens now in this musical poem 17: "Peace". It is very eventful and lively, but when you listen to it, the mind comes to rest and peace returns.
