Dear friends of astrophotography, Today I would like to give you further observations of the star Mizar and the star Alkor from the big dipper.
You will find Mizar on the drawbar of the big chariot as the second star seen from the outside.
Next to Mizar is Alkor and he little HD 116798.
Mizar is a double star that has a second smaller star right next to it. Mizar itself appears to be a rotating planetary system as seen in the video. It rotates around itself several times within 1 second. The color changes several times per second from white to yellow to green to blue.

The download package has 364 MB and also contains originals and enlargements as screenshots plus video and with a star map for navigation.
For navigation I used the app 3D stars + and then adjusted the telescope by hand with the camera Canon EOS R and the Wallimex pro 1300 telescope.
Have fun with the material.
Best regards
