This is the first song featuring a scene from a new opera by Ralf Christoph Kaiser & Co, which is due to be released and will feature songs from the Edda – the Old Norse sagas of gods and heroes, including Thor and other gods, as well as mythical creatures such as the giants.
It is a very rich source of material, from which several Marvel films have already been adapted.
In this first scene, ‘Hymir –
The Cauldron and the Sea’
, the gods want to hold a feast and drink mead – or beer – once more; and in order to serve everyone, they need a new, large brewing cauldron. Thor is tasked with procuring this together with a friend.
The song lasts approx. 5:19 minutes
The story is available here as an opera, complete with sheet music and parts for the orchestration; it also includes the lyrics and an accompanying text that recounts the story in detail.
To better illustrate the musical production of the opera, the production details are also included. You will receive an open Logic Pro X file containing the MIDI tracks, which hold the sheet music. Also included are two Page files with the texts, the sheet music as a PDF (including the full score and all parts), and an FX sound file in WAV format. There is also a sing-along version of the orchestra without the choir and soloists, and a version featuring only the choir and vocals as a WAV file.
With this data, the piece (an excerpt from the opera) can be staged perfectly.
